I’m so glad you’ve stumbled upon my corner of the internet.

I’m the Nerdy Brunette, a cultural nerd who loves learning and rambling about books, films and the current zeitgeist. I have a bachelor’s degree in French literature with a minor in films: that’s how much I like it.

As a subscriber, you can expect:

• Reviews & Recommandations: I read books, watch films, and then tell you if they’re worth your time or not, so you always know what to pick up next. No bullshit.

• Opinion Pieces: I jump onto popular discourse and share my thoughts on the matter when I believe I have something smart to add to the conversation (which does happen from time to time).

• Research Summaries: Once in a while I fall down a research rabbit hole or read a book that significantly changes my perspective on the world, and I just CAN’T. STOP. THINKING ABOUT IT. When it happens I might share a summary of what I’ve learned on here, in hope you too may learn something new.
